You know I can't get you out of my head...

Yes, I know that every blogger in the blogosphere has put their time stamp on this new gem. I can't help but throw my hat into the ring because Feist on Sesame Street is just good. No, she's great and this might be one of the Sesame Street greats. You know, like the other great childhood skits that have followed you through adulthood. You hear the first few bars and your day is shot; you're humming that cyclical nonsense all day long!

Here are my greats, I hope they stick with you too!

This is by far the most memorable Sesame Street skit in my book. "A loaf of bread, a container of milk, and a stick of butter." That line is hypnotic! But I have to say, the inspired t-shirt is, well, totally uninspired.

"Mahna Mahna", originally titled "Mah-Na Mah-Na," was written by Italian composer Piero Umiliani for an Italian documentary about life in Sweden, titled Svezia, Inferno e Paradiso (Sweden, Heaven and Hell). It is a nonsense song that achieved widespread fame as a classic Muppet sketch. (Muppet Wiki)

Classic stop motion animated film from Sesame Street, said to have been created by Jim Henson. This orange sings from the opera Carmen.

I am a strict Martika era Kids Incorporated fan. I stopped watching just shy of the Jennifer Love Hewitt era. Remember their cool kid hangout, the Peach Pit The Palace? Well, WIKI tells me it's set in FT GREENE. All you Brooklyners can add one more feather to your cap!

The Banana Splits - the ultimate rock band! A dog, a lion, a gorilla, and an elephant knocking it out in bumper cars is still the best way to start a show.

The theme song for 3-2-1 CONTACT might have been my first foray into sexual innuendo. Let's make contact!

argh! you're so right!

I also wanted to add "Over, Under, Around and Through" but thought it was maybe a Sesame Street overload.

Marty wins. Hands down.

I remember loving this counting bit with the race cars as a favorite:

I haven't seen this clip yet - love it! I have to look at the others. I swear I was watching this show until I was 16.
